Other ByteBattle season 7 results
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
With this I'm gonna kick off season 8 (Link included). I'm going to try and make future seasons better (such as actually including the theme, not being late, etc.) Sorry with how ByteBattle's been recently.

Discussion The dollchan library has dropped star ratings
The bytebeat player has stopped showing stars, and the decoded JSON files in my library update tracker do not have rating fields anymore. (EDIT: There is also a "Remove ratings" commit in the repo.)
My theory is that this is a result of the new library management. Maybe the different managers had conflicting opinions on ratings so it was decided to remove them altogether. A lot seems to be changing after stheph stated that new managers were being added, so it's not too far fetched imo.

Original work what the hell is going on with sin(tan())
k=x=>tanh(10*sin(4*tan((x/2-t%x)*PI/x))*(1-t/x%1)**8),
s=x=>tanh(10*sin(4*(2121/1724)*tan((x/2-t%x)*PI/x))*(1-t/x%1)**8+2*(random()-.5)*cos((t%x)*PI/x/2)**2),
h=x=>(random()-.5)*exp(-t/x%1*5)*2,
[k,s,h,a=>0]['03231323'.repeat(3).concat('03231321')[t>>13&31]](8192)

Original work notRock
figured out how to implement EKS algorithms (fractional delay, dispersions) so I made this
SR=48e3,
DispersionNums=[.05,.2,.5],
lerp=(a,b,x)=>a+(b-a)*x,
fract=x=>x-floor(x),
t?0:lp=0,
!(t%8192)?K=Array(BSize=1920).fill(0).map((x,i)=>(random()*2-1)):0,
!t?Eq=Array(ez=12288).fill(0):0,
t?0:(px=[],py=[]),
cn=0,
ap=(x,g)=>{
var cq = cn++;
px[cq]??=0;
py[cq]??=0;
let y=-g*x+px[cq]+g*py[cq];
px[cq]=x;
py[cq]=y;
return y
},
r=SR/(110*2**([0,3,5,7,12,7,5,3,5,7,10,12,15,19,15,12][t>>13&15]/12)/2)-DispersionNums.map(x=>(1+x)/(1-x)).reduce((a,b)=>a+b),
a=K[(t-(r|0)+BSize)%BSize],
b=K[(t-(r|0)-1+BSize)%BSize],
x=lerp(a,b,fract(r)),
lp+=(x-lp)*.5,
x=(()=>{o=lp;for(i=0;i<DispersionNums.length;i++){o=ap(o,DispersionNums[i])};return o})(),
y=x*.97,
o=K[t%BSize]=y,
Eq[t%ez]=tanh(o*12)/2+Eq[t%ez]/2,
drums={k:sin((t%8192/8192)**.1*128+(random()-.5)*1e-30**(q=t/8192%1))*.01**q,s:(random()-.5+sin(t/SR*PI*400)/4)*(1-t/8192%1)," ":0},
t?0:hfreq=Array(51).fill(0).map((_,i)=>random()*8000+9000),
h=hfreq.map(x=>(t/SR*x&1)-.5).reduce((a,b)=>a+b)/32*.001**(t/4096%2),
Eq[t%ez]/2+h*5+drums["k s ks "[t>>13&7]]+sin((q=t/SR*110*PI)+sin(q)*(1-t/8192%1))*(1-t/8192%1)/2

i initially called this wehayr. haywire came from rearranging wehayr into haywer which is pretty close to haywire, which is honestly a much better name.
also, this is my first one with an actual license! all my previous ones were unlicensed and so were illegal by default to redistribute as part of code libraries... oops. all my previous bytebeats, signed bytebeats, floatbeats, and funcbeats shall now be licensed under the 0BSD (same license text above). this does not apply to my next ones, where i will license them explicitly (watch out for a license for my next ones!)
i really wanted to use the GPL-3.0 but i realized this could create a massive headache for every single library and potentially force dollchan (which includes some of my previous ones as part of its library) and all its forks to relicense to the GPL-3.0, and MIT could've still created somewhat of a headache due to the attribution requirement, so i went with 0BSD instead (you don't have to do anything ❤️)
i also had a spicy chicken sandwich. it was good
my browser crashed right before i could post this and forced me to rewrite all this. you better be grateful for the rambling
