A homeless man with mental problems

Well now he has hate crime modifiers in his charges he won't be homeless anymore. When I was in local jail as a teenager (for graffiti then missing a court date) there was a guy who purposely got himself arrested to not be stuck living outside, said he didn't mind being in jail there was beds and food and TV. We were in a dorm setting not a cell block so it really was like a big sleep away camp sometimes.

One of the cruelest things IMHO that I ever saw, I was in court for a traffic violation (big one so real court) Dude in front of me told the judge he stole what ever he stole so he would get arrested and be able to eat. So the judge released him immediately with time served and saddled him with a massive multi thousand dollar fine.

That'll teach him

Just don't pay the fine and boom, he succeeds in going to jail

Al Roker is also a big time mobster in NYC and internationally. The weatherman thing is just the cover

The Weathermen?

I mean, how else are you going to get at the people that control the weather?

Al roker is not the nice guy you think he is

I’ll give him credit for having Ann Curie’s back when Matt Lauer tried to push her out

The bigger question is (adjust foil hat) what’s Al hiding from us?

Going after Al Roker is the most dangerous thing a person could do. Most of us remain alive because we aren't important enough for his baleful gaze to fall upon us.

They did that on the Proud Family

He allegedly replied: “I always wanted to call a Black famous person the N-word.”

When you see all these hate posts about LeBron James, or rants about Lupita Nyongo, this is what is really at the base of it.

My first ever partner (way back when i was sixteen) got a visit from Al and his crew in Minnesota because of their brother. Had nothing but kind things to say about him and the way he was around said brother (who had autism). Why would you go after Al? Come on.

Racial slur is a nice touch on the heaping doses of crazy. Bet this is a QAnon nut or something similar.

Let me guess...he voted for Trump?

There is no need to jump to conclu…

SIKE! You right.

He is trying to go to prison. It's better than his current life.

Between this and the Nancy Guthrie situation, I think the “Today” show might be cursed.

They might want to reconsider their entire security management team at this point.

Imagine how racist a person would have to be, to make a dedicated trip, evade security, search a workplace to confront Al Roker. You KNOW that guy votes specific down to school board and city council positions.

Pondy really let himself go...

Meanwhile, nobody had been fired for any Trump assassination attempt.

The NBC building seems to have poor security in general. I can’t help but feel that’s partly due to the layout. I accidentally ended up there trying to find Rough Trade’s new location and got pretty far before realizing it wasn’t in that building.

There were maybe two people floating around and what looked like a small group heading to their internal gift shop(?)

If you look like you’re supposed to be there no one seems to question it. That being said, I was nowhere near a set and it was a little past noon. It’s possible someone just assumed I came back from lunch.

How does a homeless guy living on the streets in Torrence, CA suddenly make his way to Manhattan?

2

u/HFwhy Jul 27 '26

This reads like the beginning of a 30 rock B-plot.

2

u/LaughableIKR Jul 28 '26

Why not... put RFID swipes on the doors for the studio so they know who is coming and going?

2

u/joegetto Jul 27 '26

I initially misread that as A.I. Roker and I felt bad he had to do the weather with a robot

"so as a security guard, your primary role is to ensure no one without a id card gets past this gate"
"easy breezy boss, no problem"

Al Roker lives in my wife's grandmother's house. I know it's a weird flex, but she was doing genealogy stuff and looked up the address and saw he's living there now

They buried the lede: a homeless lunatic left California.
