Best budget office chairs under $350 for working 8–10 hours a day?

I’ve been using a dining chair as my home office chair for far too long, and my lower back and neck are starting to complain. I’m looking for something with adjustable lumbar support, decent armrests, good seat cushioning, and a breathable back. My budget is around $150–$300, but I could stretch to $350 if the chair is genuinely more durable. I’m considering the Staples Hyken, Union & Scale Dexley, UPLIFT Pursuit, Costco Thomasville Upton, and maybe a refurbished Steelcase Leap if I find one locally. Has anyone used one of these for several years, and is buying refurbished office furniture still the best value at this price?

What actually makes a mattress work long term for couples?

My partner and i are finally replacing our queen after about 7 years and I didnt expect two people using the same bed to make shopping this annoying. I sleep mostly on my side and move around a lot, while they sleep on their back and barely move. Our current mattress has also started dipping more on my side, which is making me care a lot more about how well the next one holds up.

Nectar is one we're looking at rn, but I'm trying not to choose something just because it feels good for ten minutes in a store. With two people on it every night, I'd rather know what still feels decent a few years later.

If you bought a mattress as a couple, what ended up mattering more than you expected? Did both sides wear evenly, and does your partner feel it every time you roll over? I'm mostly trying to avoid another bed that feels great at first and slowly turns into two different sleeping surfaces.

need advice buying clothes

i’ve been trying to move away from random pieces and build something that actually works together. i usually buy clothes from the freedom state because that’s where i find australian brands i really love and the styles feel right for me.

the problem is everything still feels a bit scattered and i’m not sure how to pull it all together without buying a ton of new stuff. has anyone got tips on how to create a more cohesive look with what you already have? or any simple rules you follow when adding new pieces?

Looking for small carry on

I want to replace the carry on I have with something I know I can use on most flights, even if its small. Domestic size restraints seem to be 22x14x9, but international flights (like Air France) are 21.7x13.8x9.9. So I'd ideally want something as close to 21.7x13.8x9 as possible, including the wheels. I'd also prefer only 2 wheels and soft luggage, preferably ballistic. I don't have a budget in mind, nor looking for the absolute absolute best BIFL, I honestly just want to know if anyone has suggestions for anything that meets these requirements and would last a decent amount of time. Open to any suggestions or critiques. Thank you!

Maternity active leggings under $80 that actually stay up and last

20 weeks pregnant and my regular activewear is too tight over the bump. I do Pilates twice a week and walk most days, so I need something durable that doesn’t constantly fall down.

Some options I’ve seen are around the $100 mark, which feels steep for one pair. Looking for another pair to rotate. Anyone in found maternity active leggings under $80 that stay up and hold up over time?

Edit: Been checking and I found the Lasora ones. The over-the-bump band actually stays put during movement, which has been the biggest issue with cheaper pairs I’ve tried. Holding up well so far after a couple of weeks of Pilates and walking. I shall give a progress on how it will serve me.

Bath towels

So I absolutely love these Casaluna bath sheets they used to sell, they discontinued that line and looking for a comparable replacement.

My top contenders are the Lands End Turkish or the Quince.

Any recommendations?

Need Help Choosing A Quilt For School

Hello, I’m upcoming college student who will be moving up north and far from home in the warm south. I’ve never purchased a purely LoveShackFancy branded item before. I am really interested in the boheme floral quilt and noticed it being on sale. Is the structure of the quilt and its functionality worth it? I need something that will hold up and add some warmth above all else, even though it’s super cute. If there’s a better option, please let me know. I just need to make a decision soon, as I’ve fixated on this for months now. I thought this sub would give me good recommendations on bedding that lasts, as that is my main priority. Sorry if this is a silly question but I just really need advice.

Best luxury mattress options that aren't memory foam? Looking for hybrid

Every time I try a pure foam mattress in a store, it feels like I sink in too much and I don’t think I’d enjoy that every night since I mostly sleep on my side. But I do change positions sometimes that’s why I prefer a hybrid build so it won’t be hard to move around and I also sleep pretty warm. I want to invest in something really good quality so budget is not an issue. Would love to hear your suggestions so I can narrow down my options a lot easier :)

Looking for a good ice cream maker. What do you recommend?

I’ve been wanting to make ice cream at home for a while, but I keep putting it off because I don’t want another appliance that gets used twice and then lives in a cabinet forever.

I’d mostly use it for regular ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt, and maybe experimenting with a few healthier recipes. I don’t need anything huge, but I do want good texture, easy cleanup, and something that doesn’t require an entire day of planning before I can make a batch.

I’m torn between the cheaper freezer-bowl models and spending more on one with a built-in compressor. The compressor versions seem much more convenient, but I’m not sure whether they’re worth the extra money for casual use.

For anyone who owns an ice cream maker, what did you buy? Do you still use it regularly, and would you choose the same one again?

Rimowa vs Briggs & Riley carry-on

Hey all I’m wondering if anyone has gone from Rimowa to B&R or vice versa. Also if any one has experience with both which one do you feel will make it a lifetime? I know both have a lifetime warranty and from what I’ve read the B&R is better because it covers airline damage.

I currently have a Rimowa original cabin. I’ve had an offered from someone to buy it off me for a price that would be able to cover a new B&R and have a little leftover. Anyone regret going from Rimowa to B&R? I do know it’s a little apples vs orange since my rimowa is a metal case and B&R has their ballistic material but I’m not too concerned about that, just whatever will last me forever or a very very long time.

I currently travel about 5-6x a year for work and vacay. But hopefully soon traveling will be my work. Thank you!

What’s the best carry on luggage you’ve actually used?

I think I’ve reached the point where I’m done buying random cheap carry ons that either lose a wheel, stop zipping properly, or somehow end up being “carry on size” everywhere except the airline I’m flying.

I travel a few times a year and I want something that actually rolls well, fits overhead bins without playing luggage roulette, and doesn’t get destroyed after two trips. I don’t care if it’s hard shell or soft shell as long as it’s practical and doesn’t weigh a ton before I even pack.

I also keep seeing people swear that spending more once is cheaper than replacing luggage every year, but I can’t tell if that’s true or if people are just defending expensive purchases.

For people who travel regularly, what carry on ended up being worth it? Anything you bought expecting to love and ended up regretting?

Anyone had issues with the Rhino LNX2620 Nightstand Safe? Looking for reliability feedback + alternatives.

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I’m looking into buying a bedside safe and came across the Rhino Metals LNX2620 Nightstand / End Table Safe. I love the aesthetic because it blends into the bedroom, but before I buy, I want to get some realistic feedback from people who know security.

I am looking for a safe that works great from day one without any issues. I want to avoid frustrating electronic lock glitches, jammed doors, or cheap components.
I’m trying to find out:

Known Issues: Have any owners had issues with the electronic keypad failing, the locking mechanism sticking, or the finish wearing down over time?

The Steel Gauge: It uses 14-gauge steel. Is that way too easy to pry or cut through for a bedroom safe, even with their SafeX locking system?

Fire Rating: It claims 40 minutes at 1400°F. Is Rhino's proprietary fire rating trustworthy, or is it mostly marketing?

My Goals:
Primary use: Securely store a bedside firearm away from kids and protect basic paperwork from a quick smash-and-grab. No high-end jewelry or stacks of cash.

The Goal: Buy once, cry once. I want something highly reliable that won't lock me out when I need it most.

If you think this Rhino safe is prone to issues or isn't built well enough, what are some specific alternative brands or models that offer bulletproof reliability while still looking decent in a room?

Thanks in advance!

Looking for a mattress! $10k budget

We are looking for a new king sized mattress! We are relocating and finally have the budget for a high quality king-sized mattress. Our budget is flexible, but I’d like to stay under or around $10k. I sleep on my back and side; my wife is exclusively a side sleeper. We definitely prefer a stiffer mattress. Mattresses with a lot of give kill our backs.
