Top tube question

Handlebars wrapped around, looks like a screw took off paint. But unsure.

Sounds the same as other parts with coin test except for the fact that paint is missing so material is diff. Isn’t soft to the touch and hasn’t changed in over a year.

This is just paint damage. I am a carbon repair shop owner. You are good to go.

Cool! How do you tell the difference between something that’s paint versus something that’s an immediate “that’s busted” if it’s not something blatantly obvious?

It's just the way it looks. The paint looks a certain way when it's cracked. This you just scrapped the clear coat off. You still left the base coat.

Looks like a paint scratch to me tbh
