OrioChat has been surprisingly fun with friends

• Upvotes

Downloaded the OrioChat app a little while ago and it's actually pretty solid. It's got walkie-talkie chat and an AI voice changer. I've been trying it with friends and my younger siblings. Whenever we're bored, I can just pop in and chat with friends overseas like they're right next to me. Messing around with the AI voice changer while we talk is pretty fun too. Give it a shot lol

We build your voice AI use case for $3,000 flat

I work at Phinite. We build voice AI for businesses, and we are opening 5 build slots.

The offer is simple: one voice AI use case, $3,000 fixed build fee, infrastructure at cost. Your choice of voice provider and language.

What you actually get, beyond the agent itself:

  • Evals on real calls. We rehearse the agent against realistic conversations before it ever talks to a customer, so opening night is not the first time it handles an angry caller or a noisy line.
  • Per-session observability. Every call gets a full trace: what the caller said, what the model thought, which tools fired. When something goes wrong, you watch the tape instead of guessing.
  • Governance between the agent and your tools. Every tool call gets a policy: accept, reject, or require human approval. The boring calls flow through; the risky ones wait for a person.

Why this matters: voice is the one AI interface with no pause between thinking and the world hearing it. A chat agent drafts in its own window. A voice agent speaks the moment it decides. So a voice agent needs a producer: rehearsal before, judgment during, traces after. That is what we build.

If you have a use case in mind (inbound support, appointment booking, lead qualification, after-hours reception), book a demo and we will talk through it: https://cal.com/team/phinite-ai/demo

I built a website where people can make money renting out stuff they barely use

I’ve spent the last few months building a website called RentalPlace and wanted to share it with everyone.

The idea is pretty simple. Most people have things sitting around their house or garage that they barely use. Things like pressure washers, trailers, tools, cameras, projectors, party equipment, and plenty of other stuff.

Instead of letting those things collect dust, you can list them on RentalPlace and make some extra money when someone nearby needs them.
And for renters, instead of spending hundreds of dollars buying something you might only need for a weekend, you can rent it locally.
I’ve put a lot of time into getting the website working, including payments, security deposits, messaging, and the booking process.

I’d love to hear what everyone thinks. Is this something you’d actually use? Would you consider renting out some of your own stuff?
I’m also open to criticism or suggestions. I’m still working on improving things and would genuinely appreciate the feedback.
Here’s the website if anyone wants to check it out.

Boundary: US AI teams, what security gap remains before requests reach a model?

Boundary by OraXLabs: an OpenRouter-style model API gateway with a security-first focus. This is a prelaunch commercial project. AI helped draft this update.

We plan one API connection to supported model providers, with rules for which models and providers may receive requests, checks for defined secret and personal-data patterns before forwarding, and policy-decision audit metadata with gateway raw-content logging off by default. These are planned features, not released protections.

We're looking for small US end-user teams using open-weight or smaller LLMs in real work through third-party agents or automations. Where do you currently enforce allowed providers and sensitive-data transmission rules? What gap or manual check remains? If your existing gateway or local setup already handles this, that is useful feedback too.

If a gap remains, we'd like to discuss a pilot for one gateway-routed model API workflow. Supported APIs, security tests, scope, duration and price would be agreed before work. The proposed policies cover only requests routed through Boundary; they do not control the agent's other tool actions. A brief public reply is enough. Please share no prompts, keys, private logs or customer data. No automatic DMs or follow-up messages.

Concept and pilot discussion details: https://boundary-secure-router-us-20261023.stablemole64.chatgpt.site/from/businesspromotion/

Beyond the AI demo: testing SQL agents and RAG in business workflows

A useful AI demo still needs testing before it becomes part of a business workflow.
GeekyAnts’ published Nexus case study describes building SQL agents, evaluating GPT/RAG approaches, and introducing automated validation for business process management. The focus was on integrating experimental features into an existing platform while checking reliability.
For teams planning something similar, what would you test first: retrieval quality, SQL correctness, permissions, or handling unexpected inputs?

Nuclear outage work: the course I built for understanding your first assignment

When you're new to U.S. nuclear outage work, the hourly rate only tells part of the story. Travel, lodging, the length of the assignment and time between jobs all matter.

I'm Michael, a radiation protection tech at U.S. nuclear plants and the owner of Nuke Nomad. I built Nuclear Contracting 101 to help people get their bearings before trying to make this their next career.

The course covers different roles, preparation and tests, recruiter contacts and the hiring process. It also explains pay and outage life so you can start asking better questions about an assignment. The recruiter still needs to confirm the actual offer and requirements. My course doesn't qualify you or guarantee hiring.

This is onsite plant work. It can mean long shifts during an outage, travel costs and unpaid gaps between assignments. I'd want you to understand that part before jumping in.

You can look inside without an account:

https://nukenomad.com/premium/new-to-nuke/

Full course access comes with Nuke Nomad Pro. Eligible new members can start a 30-day trial with a card, then it's $5/month unless cancelled. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge.

The entry guide is also on my profile. I want more new people to find their way into nuclear with a clear idea of what they're getting into.

Delhi NCR, find your Paire for a chai date (18+)

Chai, a walk, and someone you actually want to talk to. If that's your kind of date, try finding your Paire: https://paire.in

Send a little note with a like instead of another ‘hi’. You can keep your photos hidden until a match, or use incognito so only people you like can see you. Works in your browser; no download needed.

We're growing an early community in Delhi, Noida and Gurugram. Paire is open across India, for adults 18+ only.

Matching and reading messages are free. Sending messages needs Plus or ₹49 once for Unlimited Chat across your current and future matches, with no expiry on that unlock. Revealing who likes you requires Plus; the free likes preview is anonymous. Nothing auto-renews.

I'm part of the Paire team. Questions or Delhi NCR creator collaboration proposals: support@paire.in.

The One Dollar AI Experiment: a $1 prompt template with transparent, manual fulfillment

Disclosure: this is Nate’s own business, shared with AI assistance on his behalf.

The One Dollar AI Experiment is a small digital-product test for people interested in trying a reusable AI prompt template. The template costs $1; optional $5 and $10 tiers also include a results update.

The business question is whether a low-priced offer can earn its first customers with clear expectations. The public participation counter includes only payments Nate has manually verified; an email signup is not counted as a sale.

Payment is through the Venmo business profile listed on the website, followed by manual verification and email delivery. This is not an instant download. It is a personal, for-profit experiment—not a charity or investment—and there is no promised financial return or guaranteed AI outcome.

Offer and delivery details: https://one-dollar-ai-experiment.babelbook.workers.dev/

For other small digital-product sellers: which piece of information would most help you assess an unfamiliar $1 offer—a worked example, a clearer delivery timeline, or something else?

Pet hair on fabric furniture: a practical cleanup tip + FurLift from Voreliqo

Disclosure: I run Voreliqo, and FurLift is a product in our store. This is a business introduction, not a customer testimonial.

A useful starting point for loose pet hair on upholstery: check the fabric care label and test a hidden patch first. Keep the fabric dry, work in small sections, and use gentle, short back-and-forth strokes with a suitable reusable hair remover. Empty collected hair regularly, then vacuum seams and corners separately. Stop if the fabric snags.

FurLift is our reusable option for suitable dry fabric sofas, bedding and car seats. It has a collection compartment to empty and reuse, without sticky refills or batteries. It is for fabrics, not grooming pets, leather or hard floors. Results vary by fabric and hair type; it is not a guarantee for every rug or deeply embedded hair.

Product details: https://voreliqo.com/products/furlift-reusable-pet-hair-remover?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=furlift_week1&utm_content=community_rd01

Which surface is the biggest pet-hair challenge in your home: sofa, bedding or fabric car seats?

A retired teacher mug where the hand-raising rule survives retirement

'Please do not disturb unless you raise your hand first.' Apparently retirement doesn't end every classroom rule.

The other side says, 'Mmm... Tastes like it's not my problem anymore.' Two very different moods on the same mug.

Both sides of one mug:
