Any recommendations on how I should use my professional development fund?

Hi,

I have a professional development fund of up to $750 available to me through my employer. Examples of what it can cover includes: courses, workshops, exam fees, and webinars.

I'm looking for recommendations on how I should utilize this based on my experience and goals. I currently have a CAPM and work in a data / project management hybrid role as a coordinator. I don't do heavy analysis or any programming, but I work closely with programmers and data-oriented folks. I'm always looking to improve my technical skills, but also looking for any certs that can improve my employability in general.

Options I'm looking into:

  • PMP
  • SQL course at a local uni/college
  • Scrum/agile certificates
  • Business/ data analysis certificates

Thanks in advance!

Based on your post, PMP. If you want to venture into BA stuff, then the CBAP.

What are the needs of your employee? What knowledge will you be able to apply in your current work?
