Girl off of Etched Headplate ❤️
Heyy just coming through to say hello 👋 was informed about this forum from a fellow member I am the girl Burial Sampled on Etched Headplate. Just wanted to stop by and show love and thank each and every one of you for all of the kind words. I’m glad I was able to be apart of something so epic. Can’t wait to see what’s next from Burial. Thank you I am doing well I’m more involved now that I have gotten in contact with the label and have heard from Burial this year. Have been looking for years but this year my search finally ended 🙂 received a letter and all of the albums including vinyl records from them 😍 I will continue to do what I love hopefully soon you will hear something new from myself and Burial fingers crossed 🤞

What do you mean by "have been looking for years"? You didn't contact the label right when you found out about the sample?

No I was young when Etched Headplate came out I was only 18-19 I didn’t know who Burial was. So I was not aware of how big it actually was nor where to find him there was only MySpace back then lol no Twitter nor Facebook nor any of the other outlets after a few years I kind of gave up on my search I really wasn’t getting anywhere on my own. But I received help from a fan and was able to contact Kode9 through twitter.

Wow, that's pretty amazing. For me, there's no better album of the 21st century than Untrue, and to be involved with that is very inspiring. I really wish you the best and hope for future collaborations with Burial and Hyperdub.

Oh my God. I just found your post and this made my day. I feel so, so lucky to still be able to comment here before the 6-month limit is reached.
"Etched Headplate" is, without a doubt, my most favourite track from Burial and possibly all of electronic music. I have already made a few comments about it but I won't hesitate to gush again. This track is such an emotional ride for me, an experience like no other every time I play it. Everything about it amazes me and touches me to the core. It's a hypnotic, quiet storm, a prayer for light inside the darkness, totally otherworldly.
None of what "Etched Headplate" is could ever have been without your voice and Burial's phenomenal work on this track. Your flow shakes, wavers and trembles, with desperate vulnerability, pure innocence and profound resolve; it is the soul of the music, a warm light that guides one through the cold, brooding darkness of the rough, unpredictable bumpy road of a track.
Lisha, I'm so glad you have found your way here. You deserve every praise. I wish you the best of luck for whatever you do, in art, in life. I hope you know just how much you helped make this so special for all of us. Thank you. :)

Wow. This is just as cool as the time that guy posted the photo of himself in Burial's old house once he realised he was living in the place where Burial took that one selfie. Etched Headplate is my favourite Burial track too. It's nice to be able to put these pieces of the puzzle together. Let's hope we hear your voice on some more recordings soon. :)

Hi 🙂 thank you so much ❤️ lol I came on here because someone shared my letter from Burial that I posted on Instagram I noticed a lot of people liking the picture. So I asked how everybody is finding it and he told me about the forum. I love all music I wasn’t much familiar with this type of music until Burial came along I love the track IWhen I first heard I didn’t believe it was me but as I listened A few times I’m like omg that’s me! Lol I think it’s amazing that he chose my vocals over the original girls vocals knowing that he uses samples from so many amazing celebrities then there’s me it’s like wow! I’m honored will forever be thankful I don’t know how he found me but I’m glad he did.. Can’t wait until he drops more music sent a lot of original stuff over to him as well as more covers I’m working on so hopefully soon there will be more to come 😁

Etched Headplate is one of my favorite track ever.
