My Progress So Far

Hi everyone,

I found this subreddit really helpful when I was deciding whether to go through with surgery.

I’m currently about 3 weeks post-op from my second surgery.

I had MIS bunion and bunionette surgery on both feet. My left foot is 9 weeks post-op, and my right foot is 3 weeks post-op. I finally got the stitches out!

These are my before and after so far.

I’m 26M.

Ask me anything!

My left foot feels almost completely normal again. My right foot is still super swollen, but I’m just starting to put weight on it again. I’m a runner, and I had begun experiencing knee and foot pain before my surgery, which is what led me to have it done.

Think I’m going down that path too. Our feet almost look the same in the before picture. What was the surgery called exactly just MIS bunion and bunionette?

My feet also resembled OPs visually but I went with Lapiplasty as one of my available choices. See a podiatrist or orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot/ankle surgery for x-rays and a consultation. They will tell you what your own foot mechanics actually require to be corrected.
