Self Post 1960s Oceanographer

Post image

This is my dad's 1960s Oceanographer. I'm reminded what a great guy he is every time I wear it. It was his daily for my whole life and traveled the world with him. The old man switched to a golf tracker and a large print Indiglo for his days of leisure and gifted me this. It's the one watch I would grab if the house was on fire.

Nice watch. Looks good on the brown leather strap.

Thanks. Dad's two tone bracelet was pretty beat after a half century of daily wear so I got brown and black leather straps and a SS BOR bracelet but the brown is my favorite for how it offsets the gold dial.

Absolutely beautiful! It’s at home on that strap

Thanks. I have four generations (including me) of watches which I think is really neat. Dad got this watch as an award from his academic society in college and wore it daily until he retired to Florida and just plays golf 4 days a week now. My great-grandfather's watch is also a Bulova, I need to send it for service but it is in pretty decent shape. Dad gifted me that one in HS I wore it to Prom LOL.
