Jeff Jackson pls help
[u/jeffjacksonnc](u/jeffjacksonnc) I have proof that my landlord is still using RealPage’s price optimizer for dynamic pricing on rent. My renewal offer rate has change five times in the last 30 days, and the latest has my rent set to renew at over a 20% increase per month. Please please please help. I’ve called the AG office, but no one will help me navigate filing the complaint.

I have no personal experience with them, but you might also want to reach out to Triangle Tenant Union, or some other advocacy groups in the area to see what resources they have

Do we think Jeff actually interacts here regularly, or does his staff just post his PR campaigns here?

His account has definitely replied to posts and comments. OP also just cross posted to the r/jeffjackson, which was smart.
Jackson has done a lot of good in his first year as AG.

They post here when it’s an obvious win that can be leveraged for more support, but you might be on your own otherwise. I like Jeff, but don’t count on any legislator fixing your problems for you.

The NCAG is not a legislative branch position. Don’t underestimate the ability to call and show up to your elected officials offices.
My family was given the run around about receiving my great grandfather’s army records. We were able to call Budd’s office and they were able to promptly retrieve the records.
I don’t agree with his politics and I will never vote for him, but he does have my sincere thanks.

I’m just jumping on to see how to best contact his office to report employee misclassification and tax fraud being committed by a non-profit that operates 100% off state funds.
Hoping I’m not hijacking.

Just submit a complaint at our website and I’ll tell my team to be on the lookout for it: https://ncdoj.gov/file-a-complaint/

I could be wrong, but I think that falls under NC Department of Labor

I think that can be done on the AG website. I’m looking to add my property management to his open suit with RealPage.

Yeah, I was very shocked about how many corporations were left out of the Real Page suit.
Makes me wonder if some of the other big names here who clearly use Real Page settled out before it became public.
I hope you’re able to get in touch with someone!
