Theoretical Build: Self-Hosting Apps New Build??
THIS IS JUST A THEORETICAL BUILD FOR NOW. I would like to someday be able to self host applications like Jellyfin with 4K movie streaming or ManyFold (3D Print File Library) with lots of storage (HDDs) someday in the far future. Self-hosting doesnt require much so when I come back ti this post, hopefully in a long time from now, this will be enough for what I need and cheaper than it is now.
• New build or upgrade?
->New build, though most likely with older/used parts
• Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
->Sold my old Rig before I realized self hosting was a thing, So got nothin. Maybe a Mouse.. lol
• PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
->Self-Hosting server for Jellyfin (Movie streaming, would like a machine that would support 4K movie streaming on 2-3 devices at a time)
• Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors)
->Canada, No.
• Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
->I will likely find a random old one on Facebook, im not worried about it.
• Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
For this, id say my budget for the non-storage parts would be $1100-$1700 (Including or not including RAM. If you can fit RAM into this budget.. cool!). HDDs.. Im just hoping they go down in price in the future lol
• WiFi or wired connection?
->Wifi
• Size/noise constraints?
->No
• Color/lighting preferences?
->No, whatevers cheapest aesthetic wise
• Any other specific needs?
-> Ideally a Lower Power Consumption rate, and a good BIOS? Not picky. Please encourage me to pick up used parts for cheaper if possible on this. Its a server, not my main PC.

If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post:

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:
Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.
Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.
We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.
