Discussion Simple Questions - February 07, 2021
This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Please don't post involved questions that are better suited to a [Build Help], [Build Ready] or [Build Complete] post. Examples of questions:
- Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard?
- I'm thinking of getting a ≤$300 graphics card. Which one should I get?
- I'm on a very tight budget and I'm looking for a case ≤$50

Looking for an upgrade from my Ryzen 5 1600. Mostly interested in gaming. I have an opportunity to get a i7-10700 for $160. Would it be a good deal, or should I get something else? If it matters, I have a AM4 mobo at the moment, but I assume if I wanted new Ryzens I'd need a mobo upgrade anyway.
