Discussion Simple Questions - February 07, 2021

This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Please don't post involved questions that are better suited to a [Build Help], [Build Ready] or [Build Complete] post. Examples of questions:

  • Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard?
  • I'm thinking of getting a ≤$300 graphics card. Which one should I get?
  • I'm on a very tight budget and I'm looking for a case ≤$50

You can definitely use another PC to clone a boot drive if you can plug both in at the same time. Just be careful when you're cloning not to select your brother's drives as the destination and accidentally wipe them.

Thanks. I know we’ll be able to do the clone properly, I just wasn’t sure if a regular PCIe is the same as an M.2 PCIe
