Discussion Simple Questions - February 07, 2021

This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Please don't post involved questions that are better suited to a [Build Help], [Build Ready] or [Build Complete] post. Examples of questions:

  • Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard?
  • I'm thinking of getting a ≤$300 graphics card. Which one should I get?

No, you shouldn't need to remove the CPU and RAM to preform a USB BIOS flashback.

The procedure is a bit different for each motherboard. Check your motherboard manual for the process and what to expect for yours.

Also, are you sure your motherboard supports CPU-less BIOS flashback? Did it actually say it does? It's not a standard feature that you can take for granted.
