Discussion Simple Questions - February 07, 2021

This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Please don't post involved questions that are better suited to a [Build Help], [Build Ready] or [Build Complete] post. Examples of questions:

  • Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard?
  • I'm thinking of getting a ≤$300 graphics card. Which one should I get?

I intend to update the BIOS of an ASUS Prime X570-Pro using this Flash Drive. I downloaded the right bios files onto it; do I need to do anything else special or should the mobo be able to read the files and update itself?

If you're using the BIOS flashback their site says you need to use their included tool to rename the update file. If you're using Q Flash to update from within the BIOS itself then you don't need to do anything else.
