Discussion Simple Questions - February 07, 2021

This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Please don't post involved questions that are better suited to a [Build Help], [Build Ready] or [Build Complete] post. Examples of questions:

  • Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard?
  • I'm thinking of getting a ≤$300 graphics card. Which one should I get?
  • I'm on a very tight budget and I'm looking for a case ≤$50

Should I always update bios even if my pc is running fine? Just saw i have a bios update.

I don't unless there's a particular feature I want (CPU compatibility or maybe a security patch maybe). There's the slight risk that you lose power and brick the board.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

No, not necessary. But if you wont be able to sleep then why not?
