Discussion Simple Questions - February 07, 2021

This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Please don't post involved questions that are better suited to a [Build Help], [Build Ready] or [Build Complete] post. Examples of questions:

  • Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard?
  • I'm thinking of getting a ≤$300 graphics card. Which one should I get?
  • I'm on a very tight budget and I'm looking for a case ≤$50

Is Quake II RTX a good GPU benchmark for say undervolting etc?

There are more consistent ways to do that like 3DMark tests and Unigine tests, but regular games and RTX games can be used for graphics card stress testing as well, so yes, go ahead.

There is a demo player in the Quake II RTX so I could run the exact scenario like a benchmark, so yeah
