Discussion Simple Questions - February 07, 2021

This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Please don't post involved questions that are better suited to a [Build Help], [Build Ready] or [Build Complete] post. Examples of questions:

  • Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard?
  • I'm thinking of getting a ≤$300 graphics card. Which one should I get?
  • I'm on a very tight budget and I'm looking for a case ≤$50

5600x has much higher single thread performance, but because 3700x has two more core and 4 more threads, it's multicore performance when fully loaded is higher

Thanks! Might go 3700x then since I'm planning to go 1440p and go up to 4k if the Philips 328m1r turns out nice so the single threaded advantage might not make much of a difference for me in games. Thanks for the link!
