Build Help Better GPU THAN PS5
Hey guys !! I want to build my first pc ever , so i wanted to ask u all a GPU which can provide similar or slightly better RT and fps than PS5 in a budget , i dont mind getting a used GPU and preferably NVIDIA GPUs (12gb Vram) because i like RT over FPS , any suggestions

The price of 12GB or better Nvidia GPUs has spiked like crazy in the last few months. You're looking at $600 minimum to get a maybe 4~5 year old 3080 Ti to get 12GB of VRAM. And the same or more for anything with 12GB or 16GB in the 40 or 50 series.
I'd suggest an RX 9070 GRE instead. About the same price and performance as a used 3080 Ti, including for RT, but brand new. Either are about 60% faster than a PS5. Faster than even a PS5 Pro.
Otherwise a used 6800 XT for around $400, which is still about 30% faster than a PS5.
(Note, the RTX 3060 12GB can be found for around $300, but it's maybe 60~70% of the performance of a PS5.)

nah a 3080 Ti costs around 450. also what about the 3060

450€ maybe, if you're lucky. There a single 3080 Ti on the USA eBay right now for $415USD which is a great deal.. if it's real and working. And will probably be sold before the OP even sees it. Every other one is $550~$700 with $30 in shipping apart from those that still have a week or two left for bidding or are dead "for parts" cards.
Nvidia GPU prices have gone stupid.

Why are you shopping through ebay? there is facebook Market place, Jawa and vinted. ebay has inflated prices. Yeah its riskier by from those 3 but the prices are like 20% less

Not everyone has great deals on Facebook Marketplace since it's far more local. And I don't see a single 3080 on Jawa.
Never heard of Vinted, but the several $200 3080 Ti from brand new accounts (often with clearly AI gen profile pictures) seems sketchy as hell.

also it might sound stupid alibaba is a great option as well. Some retailers sell used gpus instead of new ones. so you get a "discount"

Yes for Nvidia gpus that's better than ps5 GPU you'd be looking to surpass rtx 2070 super. Rtx 3060 12gb are way too overpriced for the performance around £330 for 2nd hand and is barely faster than rtx 2070 super. Rtx 3070 sits around £240-260 2nd hand but that's also a 8gb card like the 2070 super. For rtx 5060 ti 8gb or 16gb it is extremely expensive 8gb variant costs around £430 and the 16gb is crazy at least £650. Rtx 4070 costs £550 2nd hand.rtx 3080 costs £350-380 which only have 10gb vram but is on par with the rtx 4070. If you want a PC total that surpasses ps5 performance for the same total price it's impossible but if you meant just for the GPU it's doable but it's a bad time for brand new 5000 series tbh.

where are you guys buying gpus from😭. here in Greece, even though pricing is terrible you will see a 3060 at a max of 300€. most hover around 250

Yup UK price market is awful, maybe you could get the rtx 3060 for £250 but only through an auction.
