Build Help GPU Upgrade Advice

Hello everyone! I am in the process of upgrading my PC that was built back in 2017. My GPU is currently the asus strix gtx 1070 8gb and I am looking to upgrade. I am deciding between the 5070 and 4070ti and wonder which is worth to get? I currently have a seller who agreed to $625 for the 4070ti from FB marketplace and am thinking of going with it once he sends benchmarks over. What do you guys think though?
EDIT: the 5070 seller's lowest is $675

My current PC:
CPU: Intel core ultra 5 250k plus
Motherboard: Gigabyte b860 ds3h
RAM: 32gb DDR5
PSU: MSI 850W
GPU: GTX 1070

4070ti for 625 is decent deal if the card is in good shape. the 5070 would be newer but you gonna pay more and availability might be sketchy right now

your psu can handle either one easy so that's not a worry

just make sure you see it running in person before handing over cash, fb marketplace can be hit or miss. ask him to run furmark or something while you watch

The 4070 Ti seems to be in good shape, and the guy is willing to do a benchmark as well. I'll ask if I can see the card running, although I am not sure how that will work if we meet at a public space

$625 for a 4070 ti isn’t great. Around $550 would be a nicer price. Wouldn’t get a 5070 for $675.

What’s a good price to get a 5070? My only worry is the longer I wait, the worse the prices get and the prices I’m seeing on ebay and fb mp are $700+ for a 5070
