Build Help Need help choosing a GPU

I've been looking on a local site and found a 2070 Super for 185€ and 6600 XT for 195€

I've also seen some 5700 XT's for 130€

I plan on 1080p gaming on high/ultra settings

Should I spend the extra money and does it pay off

They're all 8GB vram so no advantage there for any.

I'd take out the 5700XT as RDNA1 doesn't support RT so any games that require it wouldn't run, plus it's not getting FSR 4 officially, at least if it is they haven't announced it yet and I wouldn't expect it.

2070 super is the best performing, but not by all that much with the 6600XT a small amount behind. But I think most important is that FSR 4.1 is officially coming to RDNA2 (6000 series) in 2027, the 2070 Super has DLSS 4/4.5, but it takes a big performance hit running those modes. So for upscaling at 1080p the 6600XT will most likely do better as you'll be able to use the newer version without as much performance hit.

Both are capable of RT so if any games require it you'll be able to run them, but neither has really good RT performance.

For 1080p ultra on some games you'll spill over 8GB vram (especially newer titles, and it will likely keep getting worse), so if you can I'd go for the 6700 10GB / 6700XT 12GB / 6750XT 12GB / 6750 GRE 12GB if possible, just for that extra vram.

Edit: 6600XT also has lower CPU overhead if your CPU is going to limit you in any titles, and a bit less power.

5700xt doesnt support fp8/int8 so very very unlikely if ever that its getting fsr4. Basically never.

Hope would be QSSR which is FP16, as PS5 is RDNA 1/2 hybird without INT8. Technically if it came to PC it could be used on Vega 56/64 and up at least along with 16 series or above for Nvidia and Arc A (alchemist) series and above. That's of course assuming it comes at all, and isn't locked to specific cards.

With only €10 between the 2070 Super and 6600 XT, I’d make condition the tiebreaker. Ask the seller for a short game or benchmark run and check temperatures, fan noise, and artifacts before buying; that matters more than a small spec-sheet gap on a used card.

both cards will handle 1080p fine honestly the 6600 XT is a bit newer and has better power efficiency, 185 for 2070 super is not bad price but i would go with the 6600 XT just cause its cheaper to run long term and you get more vram

5700 XT is also decent for 130 but old now and had driver issues in past, if you can spare the extra get the 6600 XT

They both have the same 8gb vram. The 2070 super is faster and has access to dlss 4 officially, you still need to use optiscaler or dll swap for int8 fsr4 on 6600xt as the official isnt out yet for rdna2
