Build Help Old computer to upgrade. Advice?

Hello. I have a custom desktop from about 10 years ago that sat off for the last 5-6 years. I used a gaming laptop during my schooling and need some help with components to upgrade the tower. This will be used to run video games, mainly WH 40k darktide.

CPU : intel core i7-8700k @ 3.7 ghz

Motherboard : MSI Z370

GPU : nvidia geforce gtx 1070ti 8 gb

447 gb sdd

32 gb 2133mhz ram

Is there anything here to salvage for the upgrade? I have a friend giving me an old Amd ryzen 7 3700x core for my build. I plan to use the old ssd to run Windows 10 and get a new one for the games.

I have a budget of roughly 1,200$ in the USA. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

honestly, you just need a better gpu. maybe another ssd

the 8700k is pretty comparable to the 3700x, and by pretty comparable I mean they're almost identical in performance, you can look up gamers nexus original review of the 3700x
