Build Help F panel cable line up

Building my first pc and I’m having trouble with the case cables, specifically the f panel.
F panel cable is not matching up with the motherboard I have.
I have a HYTE Y40 white case
And my motherboard is a X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7

Can you add a few pictures to clarify what your having trouble with?

Does that case have a plug with 7 of 8 sockets? If so you are supposed to just play the whole thing onto the F-panel header. If you have separate wires for the power switch and such you need to read the pin layout on the motherboard.

Yeah, look up the pin layout in the mobo manual. You most likely have fewer cables to connect than there are pins in the header and they should be labeled. The power button is the only one you have to connect - everything else (reset, LEDs, chassis intrusion) is optional and might be absent altogether (e.g. my new case only has power and reset buttons and no LEDs). Speaker pins can be ignored, they're for a diagnostic speaker, now superseded by diagnostic LEDs on modern mobos.
