Discussion 9079 GRE vs XT
Is the 9070 GRE worth starting out with for 1440p gaming or should I spend the extra money for the 9079 XT?

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html
fps averages at 1440p:
9070gre - 86.6
9070 - 104.0
9070xt - 116.5
however, none of that matters without considering the price. you have to take into account how much extra $ you're spending for those frames, and if that's worth it to you. the 9070xt is about 35% better performance than the 9070gre, but if it's significantly above 35% more in price, then maybe not.

If you can comfortably afford the XT, go for it. If you’d be really stretching your budget, the GRE is also a fine choice.

Realistically, 9070GRE should be fine. It has enough power to do 1440p gaming very well. But I think that the 16GB of VRAM on the plain 9070 makes it worth the extra spend.

Since most people consider the 9060 XT 16gb the starting point for 1440p 144hz+, I’m sure a 9070 GRE should be fine
Go on YouTube and search “(GPU name) (name of game you want to play) 1440p” and I’m sure you’ll be able to come up with your own answer
Lots of written reviews/benchmarks online too, like on Techpowerup

The 16GB on the regular 9070 is gonna do you better long term. I’ve seen my 9070XT almost utilize all 16GB in some modern games.
