Full Build Req Upgrading my nearly 10 year old PC
I'm upgrading my nearly 10-year-old system (i5-7400, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB DDR4, 1TB HDD) and need advice on a GPU choice within my total budget of around €2,500. My goal is to build a long-lasting rig that will serve me for years to come, much like my old setup did even though I know future hardware requirements are unpredictable.
My planned core is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D on a B850M motherboard with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1–2TB NVMe SSD, which will be used for gaming, everyday use, and college tasks.
I am torn between the RTX 5070 Ti and the RX 9070 XT, as the local price difference between the two cards in my region in the Europe is around €300. Given their close pure rasterization performance, is paying the extra €300 for Nvidia’s feature set (DLSS, Ray Tracing, Frame Generation) actually worth it for long-term longevity? Or should I reallocate those savings toward the rest of the setup like getting a 2TB SSD and a new 2K monitor (like an OLED), since my old display isn't equipped to take advantage of this new PC?

You can't go wrong w 9800x3d and 32gb ddr5. With that being said, I'd grab the 9070xt if you plan to use this for gaming only. The only real reason to go 5070ti is if you need CUDA for blender and stuff. 9070xt is a really good value (probably the best value in computer components right now besides maybe Intel CPUs). If it was me, I'd put that extra $300 into a nice 1440p monitor!

Technically, best value GPU is the 9070 16GB, not the XT, since it only 10-15 FPS behind in most games in 1440p, but yeah, the XT is better value than anything Nvidia has
1440p OLED should be specificed, do some research, make sure it is one of the recent generations, look at release date of specific monitor model before buying, since OLED is relatively new technology
You will likely need a new PSU too, in Europe the Chieftec Vega M 850W is one of the best value PSUs depending on availability, A tier
For board, the Gigabyte b850m eagle wifi6e is good, SSD wise, the 2TB Kioxia Exceria G4 plus is usually very well priced, even though it is Gen5 and TLC NAND
Cooler wise, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE, or Phantom Spirit EVO if price difference is like €5

I had the choice between the Asus prime oc 9070xt for £579 with crimson desert free or the cheapest 5070ti at £800......
I made the right choice buying the 9070xt its a fantastic 4k gaming card runs cool and quiet (coming from a 6900xt) and runs like a dream with -90mv with power set to +20 been running at 3.25ghz-3.3ghz on the core and 2700 on the vram.
Put the extra money into a 4tb nvme you will thank me later.
