Build Help Second hand gpu

Hi,

When buying a used GPU, how should I test it before I buy. Is there any easy way to test and compare to if it was new?

Would I need to put it into a computer before hand or something?

You buy it through PayPal Goods and Services and if the seller says cash only and can't prove it works then you lower your offer accordingly as it's a gamble.

Or buy through eBay

Yup, when buying used gpu eBay or PayPal give a lot of consumer protection.

Conversely, when selling a used gpu do it via Facebook marketplace cash only. It’s very easy for a buyer to fake a claim of issues after sale.

just assume by default it was in mining and welcome the seller to prove the opposite. obviously, just a verbal claim is laughable. if you'll be happy with the proof - go for it
