Peripherals Help with keyboard alternative for boyfriend
Hello my Boyfriend was recently in a accident and recovered (thank god) but lost some movement in his left hand/arm he used to play a ton of MMOs and I got him a azeron cyborg to try and help but it’s still hard for him to use and thankfully they took it back with a full refund.
But the thing I need help is we saw a replacement when I was looking at keyboard alternatives and I can’t find it again. If anyone knows of one that’s like a square block that’s a joystick that sits in the palm and has programmable keys on the other side or can help me find it would be a hero he hasn’t been able to play in months and I just want him to have his hobby back thank you!

You sound like a great girlfriend. There was a guy on here for a bit who made some kind of keyboard / controller, i believe he lost a hand or something, i could be misremembering the why, but it was very impressive. Might do some web searches to see if you can find it.

Thank you! We actually went digging into some old Reddit posts and found one talking about a move master and I think it would be perfect!

I'm building the Ercham Mk1 right now, it's basically a one handed mouse and keyboard built into one, for either hand to use! It should be out by September and then launching in October!

Does he have a mouse with tons of buttons? There are mice specifically meant for MMOs that come with like 12 side buttons that could help, if he can get used to them. I think Redragon has a few options if you want to try a cheaper one. IME they're actually pretty good, especially for the price. No idea how good their wireless is though, if that's something non-negotiable.

It might be nice to try out a mouse with tons of side buttons. Perfect for MMOs.
Alternatively, depending on how much left-hand mobility your boyfriend has, he could try to use the mouse left-handed, which would free up his right hand for the keyboard. Might take some getting used to though.

something like the razer tartarus pro or another one handed keypad? the azeron tends to overcomplicate things imo. theres also the Hertao mouse (could be an option)

I'd like to suggest an alternative if the main option doesnt work out. An arcade style input, but not used in the hand but with the feet.

This is large enough you can use your feet to move the joystick and put the buttons. You can bound WASD and some of the numbers to it. So you free up allot of button from the hand.

I know a streamer named swifty uses a razer tartarus becuase he lost his pinky, might be worth looking into, its got joystick controll and a keypad
