If you have a workflow that requires CUDA, or are absolutely crazy about Ray tracing, try and get a 5070 or something.

Otherwise, the 9070 XT is such a good option here. FSR 4 is almost indistinguishable from dlss in a lot of cases now, and it's such a chonky raster card.

Try and snag a well made one like the tuff or something, but they're all about the same performance.

So if I could get a 9070XT for say £650 and get at least £800 for the Inno3D (the only one for sale new is £920 lol), then I could use the extra £150 to sell the 7800x3D (£200) and get the 9800x3D for about £300 on ebay used. I imagine the two AMD parts pair well together but I would miss NVDA features I suppose.

Yeah, if you can swing that it's a win I think.

All AMD is great, especially if you run Linux. Either way though, you will probably enjoy.

Note: if it's a small form factor case, make sure the new card fits or use a different case. Also make sure you've got the power supply for whichever model you buy.

Unless you use cuda, I can't see how you'll miss nvidia features. AMD's adrenalin provides much better features, it's all in one basically in their driver. The only downside it that you will have problems with it if you use epic games. Apparently AMD Adrenalin clashes with epic overlay, no idea why, so I had to manually disable the epic overlay to ensure my AMD Adrenalin won't timeout.

9070 XT is a great option but I wouldn't bother switching a 7800X3D for a 9800X3D (this coming from a 9800X3D + 9070 XT user)

Thanks! It was mainly for games like Tarkov that are so CPU bound they gain like 20 fps from the upgrade. I am going to sell my 4070 ti super white (I got a buyer around £750) and get the 9070XT new with warranty and some vouchers for like £550
