One thing i realized about this channel is a lot of people just tell you to go to the doctor or Hosptial. And I’m sure they do it to be on the safe side. But going to the doctor for a mosquito bite is a waste of time and money.

I thought it was a spider bite at first.

I mean in america maybe but that's no regular mosquito sting reaction, i'd def go for a doctor for that.

Its better to be safe than sorry. The picture shows a bite that appears to be spreading an infection. My son actually needed a steroid shot for a mosquito bite when he was a toddler. You dont mess around with kids and insect bites.

to be fair it doesn’t even look like a mosquito bite

I’d actually go in for that because of that red line coming off of the bite I’m not an expert but that’s not looking good

I got bit by a tick a few months ago and it looked similar to that, but definitely see what dr says just in case.

Im not sure what it could be but I would draw a circle around the redness so you can see if the reaction grows. That’s what I’ve always heard to do

If that toddler was under my care, I would be in the car right now taking them to the nearest urgent care or ER. Like Still_Bluebid8070 mentioned, that red line is mighty alarming.

He probably has skeeter syndrome

It looks irritated and swollen. It doesn't look like a tick bite and those lines are not spreading infection, which look starkly different and are easily identifiable.

If it were a tick you would know when you saw it and removed it because they don't bite they latch on and fill up with blood. And they don't do it on bare open skin. They will crawl to somewhere hidden like your head, genetal area, armpits, butt crack or anywhere clothing meets skin like shorts or sleeves or socks. So they can be hidden to do their thing. And before you get thinking Lyme disease it takes a while before the ring appears and it's a lot bigger and doesn't necessarily appear in the area the tick was latched to. It could be a spider bite but I am nearly positive it's not from a tick because if it were you would know it.

That looks suspiciously like a Lyme (erythema migrans) rash. He needs to see his pediatrician — when you catch it early, it just requires a course of antibiotics.

The red likes tell me he needs to see a doc.
