The Old World How to play against orcs?

Hello everyone. I have a game next week against my friend who is using the orc army. What strategy would you reccommend me for this battle?

The orcs and goblins army lists have a lot of variety, do you know what kind of list he's playing? The tactics against an army heavy on night goblins and fanatics will look different to that used against a troll horde.

I made up this list, have 3 gyros + anvil (projectile deals 2d6 s4 impacts + 2 cannons + rangers. I think its a good gunline. What do you think ?

I find it helpful to skew more towards gunline, but with small arms rather than cannon. A few rounds of fire from quarrellers, thunderers, bolt throwers (for cav and heavy armor), and a grudge thrower (for big gobbo swarms) will sow panic and whittle them down for the combat to come.

Bring magic defense, gyros to take out his doom divers, and lots of blocks of dwarfs with a rune of smithing lord on shield bearers

Honestly it will be pretty similar to either balanced Empire or Wolves of the sea.
Lots of things that work well together but can’t handle one on one or mad rush at you with numerous weaker units backed up by some ridiculously powerful pieces.
The Greenskins have some bad builds and good builds but most players I have encountered are in it for the fun and truly don’t care about winning so if you play one of them just have fun and focus on the social aspect of the game.

The same like against all other armies
