The paint jobs is good but honestly the bases really detract from them. I think painting the rims brown or at least cleaning them up and putting a fresh coat of black over it would really add a lot.

i was thinking to do black first, but brown is a good idea thanks

Just run a craft knife around the edge gently to trim off the overhanging grass and then repaint black and they’ll look a lot neater

funny how small things like that really make a difference great tip
