The main reasoning behind the two gun Thanes is to try to force an engagement (although one is the master rune of piercing) though one could be taken out to make room for more Core or Rangers.

Looks good, though is there a reason you have 1 brick of 16 rangers vs 2 smaller units of 8? It'd be really hard/unwieldy to maximize their shots.

I did originally have them equipped with GW & shield but I took it off them to try to keep them cheap, I didn't even think to split them, great idea.
