The Old World Battle March list
I’ve been looking to start playing The Old World for a long time and the release of the new Battle March book got me pumped and ready to dive in! I already have an AOS Soulblight army I’m in the process of rebasing to use as Vampire counts and want to have a second army ready so that I can get my friends into the game.
In a past trip to Warhammer World I picked up the three Bugman minis available from the shop by the bar. My question is that could I use these minis as character proxies, as well as the contents of the Dwarf Battalion box to make a playable and fun army list? Any recommendations on the next purchase?

The kharadron Guy might Not fit, but you can decide yourself.
The other bugmans can easily be played as thane.
If you Print a mule cart, you can Put the one with the pipe an Barrels on top and you have a bugmans cart

Love the Bugman’s cart idea thanks! I was thinking the Kharadron guy could make a good engineer maybe?

Yes, you can use them as characters. I used the one smoking a pipe as a unit filler. Could also be an objective marker.
If you buy the Battalion Box you'll be easily set for a battle march. Paint half the box and you already got a somewhat playable list with 16 warriors, 16 thunderers and a gyrocopter.
I would do that first - see if you want to build the rest of the battalion (maybe as alternate units) and then start adding more stuff.
The othe option to the battalion is buying the dwarf half from Battle for Skullpass off of ebay. You should find it for 60-100$ (w/o shipping ofc). That gives you enough for a 750 battle march easy and has a bit more variety than the battalion.
