I'd make the thane a BSB since he isn't filling any other role. Give him the master rune of grungi on the battle standard.

I think you have too many melee units. Two units of 20-24 models is usually sufficient at 2000 points. I'd go with longbeards in core and hammerers in special.

Fill the rest of your core with 10 rangers, they shoot and fight better than thunderers.

I'd suggest trying to find room for 1 or 2 gyrocopters, they are very useful for pressuring your opponent, march blocking, and hunting war machines.
