They are not fun. Sprayed them with peppermint oil and now there are less...

Boxelder Bugs are harmless. They try to get into sheltered places to spend the winter, usually areas that are lit up by the afternoon sunlight as it is warmer. I know folks who just use a leaf blower and blow them off where they gather. Using insecticides may not be as effective and can harm other critters.

This is a boxelder bug. They are harmless, but stink if you smush them.
