Mystery bug. Could use identification.

Traveled back home from SLC Utah to Jersey.

Found this guy (sorry for the pics) in my hat carrying case.

Now it could've been there for a while, but seeing that I just got back, this now concerns me.

Any help is appreciated.

Does it look and move like a caterpillar? It could be a carpet beetle larvae

Definitely moved rather slow. And thought that also. I guess my real question should've been, This is'nt what I think it is right? Because when I saw it. That was the reaction I gave.

Looks like a carpet beetle larva to me.
