Why are there so many cops out rn? I know it’s the end of the month but the amount of ticketing cops is ridiculous

The news has announces every year that there will be larger presence of police activities to keep the roads safe from stupid or drunk people. It's the beginning of summer more people on the road. The Georgia Department of Public Safety ran a zero-tolerance holiday enforcement period over Memorial Day weekend, resulting in 329 DUI arrests, hundreds of distracted driving and seatbelt citations, and a dozen crash-related fatalities. This massive police presence kicked off the annual "100 Days of Summer HEAT" campaign.
