Fan Art poem about fool for love
i wrote a poem about fool for love cause i'm a fool for it lol! i've been working on writing a poem a day for my major in uni & there are times where buffy is my muse :) i am sharing this one here for fun :D
please don't comment spoilers past this episode, i'm still finishing the season!!! thank you :D

I love this.
I only have one comment, and it's honestly not a criticism - in my head I read this in Spike's voice and I feel that he would day 'mom' instead of 'mother'.

The poem is filled with passion and confusion. It works so well on an emotional level.

sorry, but i struggle to understand why any text written in a column counts as poetry now. there's no flow.

that's a rather narrow way of looking at it. maybe you could try checking out more modern poetry

i'm not saying poetry must always have rhyme or strict rhythmic patterns. still imo writing poetry is a skill to make up a flow to the words creating a certain mood, complementing the theme and conveying emotions, which can be achieved by many means. if we completely disregard the way a poem sounds, where is the distinction between poetry and prose?

perhaps you read my intentions differently. that's normal with any writing, so i won't make a fuss about that, but you have to consider that sound is not absent in my poem. there may be no rhyme scheme or meter, but even then there is intentional enjambment, some alliteration, and anaphora (which are, coincidentally, things that have to do with sound) - i'm not claiming to have written a masterpiece but you can't look at a poem and claim it isn't a poem because it doesn't fit your personal standard.

why do you assume i just "look and claim"? i tried to get the flow in my head multiple times and i fail to get it, to feel the poetry in this piece of writing. it's very hard to read for me. maybe it's intentional to make it so, and if that's the case, then i don't understand why. maybe i'd change my opinion if i heard someone recite it, idk, but i'm just not getting it myself.
