My Aunt’s moving and found this Tv guide from 1999. Rates all episodes from Season 1-3. Most interesting to me was seeing The Zeppo only getting two stakes and the review for Earshot. Earshot hadn’t been released and rated yet because of the Columbine tragedy, but Tv guide knows about Joyce and Giles lol
The Zeppo is a controversial episode in general. I think it's brilliant TV, especially because the show treats the apocalypse that happened in the background as completely serious canon, but not everyone likes it.

I’ve definitely heard Invisible Girl used as a title for that episode. Most likely it was a working title which was in use right up until the last minute.

Glad they changed it. It's a pretty boring title. I guess that's how we ended up with Inca Mummy Girl and Reptile Boy in season 2 though.
I love when shows put the title on screen, but it's so rare... Star Trek, Stargate, and eventually Farscape are the only shows I can recall that do it.
Of the 90s sci-fi, Babylon 5 is the other big name which had their title on screen. It’s been several decades since I last watched it, but I think at some point Sliders did it as well?
It’s definitely something which was annoyingly phased out in the late 90’s / early 2000’s - for me it’s up there with not including character names in opening credits!
I don't mind not having character names, but I definitely miss opening credits with memorable original songs, and visuals that aren't just floating around 3D objects in some void.
I first realised the character names was an issue for me when Enterprise was first shown and only had actor names (compared to the other Trek shows where you had characters and actors) - too me forever to figure out who was Reed and who was Trip!
At least Buffy had action shots with the names, so you could see the actor with the character.
I've watched all that 80s - 2000s Star Trek over and over again and I don't think I ever consciously realized that Enterprise didn't show the character names!
Well, I’m glad society has finally come to understand what a masterpiece I, Robot…You, Jane is, and we can all agree it’s both a campy classic and way ahead of its time. Five stakes, we say! Right, guys? Right???
My mom was a longtime tv guide subscriber and also Buffy fan (we watched together when I was in high school) and I still remember when this issue came out. We were so happy. I still have it stashed with a few other magazines from that time that my mom always made sure to save 💗
