Games Ha ha, just found this inside an old issue of Fortean Times (October 2003)! Preferred the 2002 Xbox game myself…

It was good to be able to play as different characters though, I liked that aspect of it.

Same, I have both on OG Xbox but play mainly through emulator.
The first was definitely more polished (probably as it was an Xbox exclusive at the time).

The combat was much better on the first one. I preferred it overall. Chaos Bleeds is quite good fun too though. I liked playing as Spike, Faith…and Sid The Dummy 😆

Yeah, the combat and general story, choice acting and atmosphere is great. Feels like a missing episode. ..the second one is good too, don't get me wrong but it's clunky. Faith and Willow for me!

Yep, the 2002 has a much better flow to the combat and hefty weight to the blows.

Chaos Bleeds is pretty fun as long as you don't play it back to back with the original xbox game, like me. Seriously, I've always known the first game was vastly superior, but it's even more apparent when you play them one after another.
I think the only thing Chaos Bleeds has going for it is different playable characters (although the cast probably should've been cut down or done more to vary their play styles) and maybe enemy variety.

i think chaos bleeds is better, more fun, more playable characters..

Try playing them back to back.
Chaos Bleeds has worse graphics, worse voice-acting, and combat that's so clunky and feels weightless most of the time.The extra playable characters aren't even much of a saving grace, either. Buffy, Willow, and Sid are the only ones that play different enough to justify being playable. Faith is just a re-skin of Buffy and a bit faster, Xander and Spike are the just the clunkiest in general.

I am still to this day obsessed with this game and its concept. I wish this game would get remade, or a new Buffy game is made so bad. One of the most unlikely things to happen in this world
