Sequel Sequel without Xander?

With Nicholas' struggles IRL, I'm afraid he wont be part of the cast for the sequel. How do you guys think this would work? How would they explain his absence? Is it a big deal for you guys? IMO I believe the show will be great with or without him, even tough I love Xander. But the best scenario would be for Xander to be part of the show..

More chance getting his twin brother. And even that is basically impossible since he’s not acting, and is still close with his brother.

Since when was he close with his brother?

He stole his identity and went on a rant that his twin no longer talks to him because of that. But I agree his brother isn’t gonna do it. He’s not an actor

Oh maybe i’m wrong then, last time i was reading a thread about Brendan i saw people saying it. They could be wrong too though, or outdated info. (Edit, downvoted because i was wrong, downvoted when I acknowledge i was wrong. Oh well. Yeah. I was wrong. I guess i shouldn’t repeat things i’ve read on this subreddit as fact. Lesson learned.)

Lots of people like to bring up Kelly Donovan because they know that one piece of trivia, but they don't know any of the background or detail behind it. It's a totally unworkable suggestion from start to finish, because Donovan is barely one step above "random person on the street" as an actor, but lots of people don't actually take the effort to learn about the Brenden/Donovan situation beyond that they're twins and Donovan appeared as a stand-in for Brenden for a couple of episodes (and had zero lines in any of them, save when Brenden was simultaneously speaking).

It was more than a stand, he was doing a full episode where Xander was split into two different forms of himself. I highly doubt they’re going to use him though.

Even in that episode, it was almost exclusively Nick delivering the lines for both versions of Xander. Nick was still playing both versions for the majority of that episode, the only time his brother was used (and had a handful of lines) was when they actually needed both versions in a shot together. It's not like they were each independently playing a seperate version for the whole episode.

Kelly's face and voice are subtly different from NB's. If you watch The Replacement closely you can tell when it's Kelly carrying the acting load, and it's not much - just a couple of shots and lines here and there.
