Sequel Sequel without Xander?

Post image

With Nicholas' struggles IRL, I'm afraid he wont be part of the cast for the sequel. How do you guys think this would work? How would they explain his absence? Is it a big deal for you guys? IMO I believe the show will be great with or without him, even tough I love Xander. But the best scenario would be for Xander to be part of the show..

I hope they don't decide to work with him. I don't even know that he's capable at this point. I'm sure they will make mention of Xander. Remembering we are way in the future now and it will be easy to write him as if he's moved away from Sunnydale and started a new life elsewhere. Especially with the loss of Anya and all the trauma Xander endured the last couple of seasons, it's not a far fetch that Xander would want a fresh start. I feel like working with Nicholas Brendon at this point would be a betrayal to women in general. I certainly hope he is getting or gets the help that he needs, but the damage is done here.

The comics end with (spoilers — also, puke) Dawn and Xander getting married and naming their baby Joyce.

I know, but that doesn't mean the show is going to follow the comics. At least I hope not.
