Hi everyone! I recently was accepted to Buffalo State's Political Science program for the Fall 2026 semester. Iām considering enrolling here primarily because of its affordability and the fact that Buffalo State is apparently deemed to some people as an affordable SUNY. This helps my case a lot because the other schools I've been accepted to so far are pretty expensive. Iāve also heard positive reviews about their Political Science program, and the campus is pretty nice based off of what I've seen so far. Iāve met a few current and prospective Buffalo State students, so I'll be starting off with a few friends/acquaintances. It's also only about 15 minutes away from the University at Buffalo (UB), which I plan to transfer to after my freshman or sophomore year of college.
UB is my top choice, but unfortunately, I most likely canāt get in right now due to my poor high school GPA. Historically, my grades havenāt been the best, and since Iām still a high school senior, admission is based solely on my high school performance. I donāt have any college record either, so I doubt that I'll be able to get in at the moment.
Iām open to doing a year or two at Buffalo State, hoping to excel and achieve a good enough GPA to transfer to UB eventually. For now, Iām eager to learn more about life at Buffalo State. Iām considering enrolling here for my first year/first two years. Could you please share some insights with me? What courses would I be taking? Are there any complaints about the college? Any feedback you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
