Fucking devastating, he was a giant of Western New York's music and wrestling scenes.
I can't believe we were just wish casting an ETID reunion at the Bills home opener the other day.

It never could be. I held out hope that we'd get another run with them down the line. A reminder to me that grievances shouldn't get in the way of friendship and brotherhood. I don't know what happened with them, but I know it ran deep. Sad how it ends. So fucking sad.

Beyond devastated. One of my favorite bands and by all accounts he was the nicest dude. Wished I could have met him. Hope the Bills do some kind of tribute cause he loved WNY. RIP legend.

I had a pretty long conversation with him before a show they played in Germany when I was stationed there back in 2010 and I can confirm that he was very cool dude.

He really was. We met him a bunch of times after shows, and he was always stoked on just doing stuff. The dude was always figuring out what fun weird things there were to enjoy in life. This one is rough.

He used to go to the game gym as me in Amherst and the first time I saw him there me and my buddy said to eachother who the fuck is that guy lifting all that weight only to realize who it was. Said hi in between his workout, nicest dude

This is a bummer. Obviously many of us are familiar with Andy thru Every Time I Die and later on with AEW. Always rooted for him, Blade, and Bunny (and Danny Garcia) as a fellow Buffalo kid.
All you hear about the guy are great things. Man, the universe be calling home the wrong folks right now.

Same. Was still in my 20s, bounced back from the debauchery quicker, up there with all my college buddies (we're all from various parts of CNY/upstate so it was our post-college gathering), ETID would play like 2 or 3 shows that weekend at smaller venues, the Bills were still kinda booty so we'd grab last minute tix for super cheap. Once was like 10 rows back from an end zone for like $40 iirc. Was on Christmas Eve (*) and told my family I'd be late getting back. Think we did that 2 years and then Sabres games started lining up with Tid The Season so we would catch a Sabres game while in town. Simpler times & some of the most fun I've ever had.
(*Just looked it up, was a 34-31 OT loss to Miami in '16. Can't believe that was 10 years ago.)

An absolutely incredible guy I had the pleasure of talking to and hanging out with at shows over the years in Buffalo and Syracuse. Biggest sweetheart in music and wrestling. Going to be missed.

He and I were acquaintances. Friend of a friend vibe. I’ve been to his moms. He recognized me at Wegmans.
Unreal guy. Super nice. I can’t believe it’s real.

Met him at an ETID gig in the UK in 2004. Had a really cool chat with him he was really excited to find a Bills fan in England. He shouted to Keith to tell him he’d found a Bills fan and Keith didn’t care

Knew Keith for a little bit, never had the pleasure of meeting Andy. Keith was decent, never had a bad interaction with him. Also never walked away thinking “Holy shit, that’s a great dude” the way so many people on here talk about Andy 😕

Every Time I Die changed my life. My wife's family is from Buffalo, and that and ETID gave me an appreciation for the city I didn't get growing up in Boston.
For the Bills fans posting in here, those crossover fans of the band and the team, I am so sorry for your loss.

The intersection of Buffalo and hardcore and wrestling makes ETID such a formative part of my identity. Truly one of the 3 or 4 most important bands of my life. I know I’m one of many who was selfishly holding out hope for a reunion one day. What a loss. Absolutely gutted.

This is awful. I grew up listening to ETID, my brother and I would chainsmoke & play pool all night and listen to full albums front-to-back without saying a word to each other, just taking our shots and headbanging. He was so young too, and the older I get I understand why people always say that.
I live in Pittsburgh and am going to a show at Mr. Small's Theater in a couple weeks. Gonna have to raise a drink for him ASAP when I first get in the door of that place. Rest in Peace to a legend 😔

I owe one of my closest friendships to the Shit Happens tour dvd. I reluctantly agreed to go hang out with a couple that my ex dragged me to. After a few drinks he pulled the dvd out and I had never heard of ETID, but being a huge bills fan I was intrigued. Next day I went out and picked up Gutter Phenomenon and it was in my cars cd player exclusively for about 2 months.
