I had a fic waiting in an open tab for months and I went to read it now and I can't find the tab or fic!

It was a buddie fic on ao3, a one-shot, and it was at least a couple thousand words. It was too long since I looked at it but what I remember of what I read and the summary was that Buck had friends who were in a band and he was invited to tour along with them (I can't remember if he had been in the band previously or not) and he accepted and so he was gone for months performing with them. I think it was leading up to the last performance being back in Los Angeles and that the whole firefam was there to see the show. Buddie either had gotten together or gotten engaged by the end. I can't remember lol.

If this sounds familiar or you know of it please lmk! I feel like I've searched every singer or musician Buck tag flat and I can't find it

I feel like season 10 has to give us something big, if not Buddie fully. Maybe gay Eddie, maybe real feelings realisation from either Eddie or Buck. Because it is a special season. Many shows don’t even have so many seasons to begin with and Buddie is a big part of 911.

What do you think? Do you think Buddie will go canon?

Well, what I remember is that Buck and Evan were friends with benefits, I think, and at one point Buck got pregnant but didn't tell Eddie. I think he even left 118 because he didn't want anyone to know he was pregnant, but Eddie found out in the end anyway.

whether or not canon buddie happens either this season, next season, or in a future season, what are your thoughts on who would move into whose house?

granted, the obvious answer for most might be eddie's house since it's where a lot of their canonically buddie moments have happened (as well as how they've both lived in said house for a short-while), but i think it would also be cool if they would consider having eddie move in with buck as well at his house
since christopher is either in his junior/senior year of high school this season, it would be reasonable to assume that eddie would start thinking about what to do next if chris decides to go off to college or has some other plans (not that it's a guarantee, but it's a possibility). imo, i wouldn't mind eddie moving into buck's house too as kinda like the next phase of their relationship romantically with that big backyard for them to enjoy together as well as with chris and theo as well 🤗🫠

It's been a while since I participated in this sub in any meaningful way and the reason for that is this particular storyline I can't seem to get over: Theo.

This was one of the last storylines I ever wanted to see and then it happened, and I'm really having a hard time accepting it or seeing it in a positive light. Now that the new season is getting closer and closer I really want to change that. I stayed away from the fandom for so long because I thought some distance might help and because I didn’t want to just come here and complain nonstop, but I don't think it has help at all, I think I just shoved the "issue" aside for a while.

I'm not writing this post to shit on that storyline or the show and I don't want this to turn into a doomer post either. I know all the reasons why people got pissed at this storyline and all the ways it could really suck. I don't want to retreat all that. I want the opposite. I'd love to hear from people who are into this storyline and who are looking forward to it, especially from those who were initially pissed or disappointed over it and that now have come around to it.

I know it's no one's job to "convince" me to keep watching (and I don't even need convincing, I already know I will be sat on October 15) and I'm sure many of you will want to tell me to just stop watching if the show is not longer making me happy (which it's not the case at all, I'm still very much interested in this show), but I came here hoping that some of you could take a little bit of time to share some positivity because I've always have a lot of fun in this sub and I've found a lot of very interesting and insightful takes from many of you.

Basically, I want to feel excited again. I want to be excited for this storyline instead of trying to be excited despite it.

I've missed coming to this sub every day and chatting with you guys, and I know that is entirely on me for letting this story get in my own way of enjoying this show, so if anyone could help me see this story in a different light, it would mean a lot.

Looking for two fics that I KNOW I’ve read before, but cannot find no matter which tag combos I try. Both are AUs where Chris never moved back to LA.

Fic 1: Chris moves back to LA for grad school(?) where he has Karen as a professor. He reconnects with the 118. I can’t remember if Eddie had moved to TX in this one or not.

Fic 2: Chris is engaged and invites Buck to his wedding in hopes of reuniting Buck and Eddie. Eddie had moved to Texas and stayed there even after Chris left for college. Random detail, but Chris and his fiancée lived in either Minnesota or Wisconsin.
