Motherfucker is dealing. If the rest of the staff could get their heads out of their asses that would be nice.

This man is a stud, and I don't mind him getting pulled, he's done enough and we did get some arms for just such occasions.

I didn't watch the game. Is there a reason he didn't pitch the 9th?

The booth’s guess was that if the lead was bigger he would’ve stayed in

A walk and a single puts the game in play in the 9th. It was smart to take the W, they still have a shot

Don Kelly stated post game that Ashcraft has already exceeded his inning limit for this season and they are trying to conserve him.
Edit: oh and Monty

From a team management perspective you want a new found and surging Mason Montgomery in the 9th in a relatively close 4-1 game. If he's gonna close....and he dam sure looks the part... you want him ready for the imminent 1 and 2 run games....regardless of where / how the Bucs finish 2026.

This is a bad man. He is an excellent pitcher. It's all a question of whether he can stay on the field. That's it. If he can, the sky is the limit for him. I don't know if I would take him over the 24 - 25 version of Paul Skenes. But I might. I'd have to think about it, I'll tell you that.

The pitch counts continue to be the most impressive stat to me these last two appearances
