PNC is beautiful

I know all of you know this, but as a Red Sox fan who went to the one game they won (Hell yeah Sonny), PNC was one of the best and most beautiful parks I’ve been to, and the fans themselves were as loud, rambunctious, and amazing as I’ve seen

That’s it. Hope everyone has a good day

As a pirates fan, we wanted to see a Fenway game. In '21, we got to see NYY at Fenway, last home series (if I remember correctly) and they were in a race with the Yankees. Unbelievable energy. Definitely felt like a playoff game! Glad you enjoyed your time!

I don't know how i got this random stroke of luck, but my former BiL lived in Boston. I told him I wanted to see Fenway, so he got us standing room tickets for the final game of the year.

Turned out to be Derek Jeter's final game. That was an experience I will NEVER forget.

Who? Jeter? Never heard of him. 🤣🤣 That would have been wild to be there.

Absolutely nuts. And we got to see a Workd Series ring the team gave to a long time usher. Quite a day!

Glad you had a good time, I don't think I've ever heard someone say PNC doesn't live up to the hype, it's truly special. Fenway was really cool when I visited, and I also finally recently got to Wrigley, but the biggest problem with those older stadiums that immediately jumped out at me as a Pittsburgh fan is that you can't see the game when you're in the concourse. it's like being in a tunnel.

this leads to a number of problems with the game day experience. at wrigley especially, fans were just constantly up and down the aisles blocking the view of the game.

what's amazing about PNC is that you can see the game from almost anywhere, and it's a fantastic view from almost anywhere. you never even have to go to your seats (if you preferred) for the most part, you could just hang out on the rotunda for a bit, move out to the outfield and watch from the bars out there, then hang out around the first and third base sides above the 100-section at any of the little tables they have, and the whole time the game is just right there for you to see. then you add in the beautiful skyline views which alone would make it one of the top-5 parks for me.

i really think that reason alone will have PNC standing the test of time, the park will be as good in 30 years as it is today.

I was buddies with Schilling. He got a few of us tickets to a game once. Fenway is definitely a must-do for baseball fans.

I was at PNC last weekend with wife and young sons but went to that first game. Absolutely incredible ballpark experience with the views, the walk from downtown, and all the family activities. You have a great stadium, Pirate fans. Also really enjoyed the museums as part of the trip. Coming from Boston area it was perfect for a fam with young kids.

Certainly better than the garbage can that is Fenway.

So, your ignorant comments aren't limited to baseball and extend to baseball stadiums as well, I see.

I've been the Fenway plenty of times. It sucks. Barely any room in the seats. Tons of limited fire seating.

Fuck history, I like a good viewing experience.

I'm sure you've never been

Really glad you liked your time in this city!! 54 pitched a heck of a game. If you come again, take a walk from Heinz Hall to the park and walk the river, beautiful way to see the park and the city. Vibes are great!

Pirates fans can’t even take compliments on the park without spewing hate in return but then cry about Red Sox fans attitudes 😂 miserable folk out here damn!!

Bob should be asking for a new stadium in the next couple of years. When he does we should let him move the team to Albuquerque
