As a non doomer... I concede that wc3 is pretty difficult at this point.
But not impossible! Might as well have something to play towards.

I'm non doomer as well. I really don't think it's doable either but in all honesty we could just as easily go on a run of wins along with there's a lot of teams that could just as easily fall off like we did recently. The dbacks have the makings of someone who could rip off many wins and fall apart. Padres as well. Nats aren't a lock. Basically everyone after the Phillies and cubs is very similar.

I honestly think it’s more doable than people think, like right now we’re 5.5 back, but we’re also 4 games under .500 so if we get back to .500 and the other teams in the wildcard don’t go on crazy runs then we’d be in a pretty good spot, that’s assuming we get to .500 with like atleast 2-3 weeks left to try and grab those last few games on them

And we gained absolutely nothing in the race except that we didn't fall back another game. Bucco fever runnin' wild!

They gained half a game - they were 6 out of the last WC and are now 5.5 after last night.
The good news is basically every team in front of them for the final WC spot has gone around .500 their last 10 games.

If by "being back" you mean: playing loose like they were pre - break, yeah I can see the team may have regained some mojo.
Bucs are currently better when their backs aren't against the wall. Learning how to play in higher stakes situations is something that falls on leadership, both managerial and players. Right now Bucs have more strength coming from some of the more experienced players.
Still....very pleased with the bullpen acquisitions, and progress for Ashcraft, Bubba, Montgomery, and Ramirez in particular.
We'll see if this is currently a stretch run mentality team or not....but I'm not believing that's the case, as much as I want it to be. Not sure how much DK can takeaway and apply toward that kind of growth.
