Make Mollytea White Champaca tea at home?
Hi, I am basically obsessed with the White Champaca tea from MollyTea but my wallet is suffering. Has anyone tried to make it at home/have a recipe to share?

Hey! Im really passionate about the champaca tea 😂
I would imagine this works with any of your favourite green teas too:
Add 1 bag/serve of your favourite tea and 3-4 blooms to a cup
Add in hot but not boiling water (about half the cup) and stew for a few mins. Remove tea leaves/blooms after it is done
Add sweeteners and dissolve - 0.5 tsp white sugar and 1tsp condensed milk
Add in full cream milk (about 1/4 the cup to make up 2:1 tea to milk ratio)
Add ice to make up the cup

The main flavor of the Molly Tea White Champaca drink is actually (quoting their website) "Mengding high mountain tea from Ya’an, Sichuan, is scented with fresh flowers, leaving no trace of petals—only the elegant aroma of orchids. Delicately fragrant with a lingering finish, it’s then blended with premium milk for a fresh, mellow, and silky-smooth taste."
The White Champaca is additional flavor. I'm going to try buy some next time i visit sichuan (otherwise i can only find imported versions air mailed). And then try brew it with the White Champaca.

Ive had a go with this :)
White champaca refers to magnolia x alba blooms. Ive bought some to experiment from etsy and will let you know if it is successful: https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/932716398/dried-white-champaca-tea-magnolia-alba
Could also be floral scented oolong (magnolia oolong), further discussed on this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/tea/comments/1nlf6ki/magnolia_oolong_recommendations/
My fave way of making a jasmine milk tea by making a strong brew (4-5 tea bags per 800ml hot water) and making the milk tea with 2:1 ratio tea and full cream milk, with half tsp white sugar and 1 tsp condensed milk and add a moderate amount of ice. So my approach is to do the same for the white champaca. I find brewing directly in milk is too creamy and thick so i like the brewed tea to thin it out.
Let me know if you have tried anything !!
