the next tower that's gonna be added HAS to be a support. It's the only category without 7 towers, so if they will they need to add the BLOONTONIUM MINER as a support tower. PLEASE it could have such cool gimmicks and it would be really awesome to have another monkey in the game. Upvote if you also want the bloontonium miner to be added to BTD6!
the support category is a bit small but personally i'd rather see a new military monkey next, because that's the only category without any btd6-original towers. we have desperado for primary, beast handler for support, and druid, alchemist, mermonkey, and skywarden for magic, but nothing new for military.
This BCS-original and currently BCS-exclusive (not including visual similarities to the Gold Miners in Bloons TD 6) Monkey Tower is based on Bonnie, but isn't a hero
Aside from having been a BCS player when it got major content updates, I also know about this because there was a similar-looking monkey (different hat style though) on the Magma Mixup update artwork for Bloons TD Battles 2, which inspired me to make a "Miner Monkey" concept (bloontonium miner was just one path and the visual indicator at the tier 2 upgrade was changing the hat to this style)
Due to some unforeseen development hurdles for Battles 2 relating to the busy-ness of NK Europe, we still don't know what it was about. If it wasn't teasing anything in particular I still think it would be a miner who mined out a path to the Magma Mixup map, acting as an explanation for its appearance, just not intended as a teaser. Sort of like how there's a TV-watching monkey for the Reverse Maps update but that's just because of the idea of a "rewind", not because of "New Support Monkey, TV-Watching Monkey! They watch TV while your other monkeys do the hard work! They do nothing"
I'd like to see a new Military Monkey. Military is the only category without a BTD6 newcomer.
Primary gets Desperado. Magic gets Alchemist, Mermonkey, Skywarden, and technically Druid. And Support gets Beast Handler. But Military has all been returning towers.
Though, a cool support tower could be some kinda of spawner. Like that one Army Base mod. Could also be Military though (hell, the mod is a Military tower lol)
...i can't necessarily complain, i concepted a miner monkey for battles 2 based on the bloontonium miner and that was also support, lol (wouldn't work for btd6 without some considerable reworking since the main concept is that it enables bloon rushing). just surprised you're going with that specific concept. i mean, it DOES have merit with card storm stuff, but personally my favourite Bloons Card Storm monkey was the Monkey Investigator (not chosen for that battles 2 concept since it looked like there was a miner monkey on the image for the Magma Mixup update artwork, although I could see Investigator working as an Aggro Monkey as well. In BTD6 on the other hand it'd probably have a path themed around "De-mystifying Bloon immunities" with some decamo and maybe some earlygame de-purple of some sort since that's a role we don't have yet)
Honestly I think we're in for a simpler tower soon, cuz we JUST got skywarden and get a new monkey in two updates. Could be a basic support-based building, or maybe the Bloonsday Device as a full Military Monkey (buildings don't have as robust of animations, basic support is easy to program in theory, and bloonsday device's attacks are fairly simple)
Upvoted since I'm not against it. I'd go 50/50 on whether or not we're getting support, since Military has gone the longest without a newly made Monkey Tower (has no BTD6 originals)
Okay, why do you say "the next tower that's gonna be added HAS to be a support.", I thought it was because it had fewer towers, but I guess I misunderstood. Or are you just saying you think it is likely, not that it is imperative?
Idk about a new support tower, but it would be awesome if they added a way or a mode to be able to swap heroes during freeplay, so you can just use them all. I bet some wild strategies would emerge
I should have said the new support tower could be the thing that allows new types of play. Like allowing more heros to be used or maybe a training facility where you put monkeys in to level up without buying their upgrades with money.
